Today was a joy. It began, like most days do, with the warm welcome of Tuffy, he of the wagging tale and enthusiastic greeting. Then, a hot mug of coffee, a shower and the eventual walk to my weekly support group. Once there, I was fully at ease knowing that I could be open without reservation or fear of being judged. How liberating that is.
The walk itself allowed me to think of a truth that I often overlook – all of my work since September 2, 2014, flowing from my willingness to reach out and accept help, is a success worthy of celebration. For that, I’m grateful and I rejoice.
